Job details:

 LifeStar Insurance is currently seeking a Premium Management Officer Team Leader – Life Operations. The position is responsible to undertake a range of tasks within the premium management department related to premium collection and reconciliation to ensure continuation of life insurance cover.

 

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist the Life Operations Manager in premium related tasks
• Assist and supervise other team members within the department and make sure that tasks are being executed in a timely manner and in line with the procedures in place
• Identify and implement enhancements to the current procedures
• Process of bank accounts
• Upload and reconciliation of payments
• Assist in the monitoring of arrears
• Process of payment refunds
• Issuing of bill notices and reminders
• Handling clients’ and brokers’ queries
• Liaise between respective departments to make sure that processes are done in a timely manner
• Ensure all customer information is correct
• Inform clients of overdue payments and amount currently owed
• Updating and maintaining databases
•  Provide training and assistance to other team members

 

Other Responsibilities (Risk Related):

• Maintain a comprehensive overview of the processes within your section and report any key business risks across all levels to the Head of Operations promptly
• Assist your superior or senior management to develop, communicate and instill a risk management culture
• Encourage / motivate your colleagues in risk management principles and practices

 

Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications:

• One or more years of experience in a payment collection role, or similar role will be preferred however training on the job will be provided
• Attention to detail and excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and a professional customer-oriented approach
• Creative, organized and proficient in using social media platforms
• PowerPoint presentation skills
• Fluency of written and spoken English language
