Mr Andreas Shakallis

Mr Shakallis is an Actuary with over 30 years of experience in the insurance sector primarily in Cyprus but also for markets such as Greece and the UK. The larger part of his career was in the life and health insurance business by being employed in a leading insurance company in Cyprus where he served in various positions i.e. Internal Actuary, Appointed Actuary, Chief Risk Officer and General Manager – Insurance Operations.
In November 2020 he founded an insurance business consultancy firm and as a consultant he is engaged in various actuarial and business development projects mainly with insurance company clients in Cyprus. Mr Shakallis graduated in 1990 from the London School of Economics and Political Science with the degree BSc Actuarial Science and in 1991 obtained the postgraduate degree MSc Operational Research from the same university. He is a Fellow of the Cyprus Association of Actuaries, having served as the President in the period 2001-2004.
