Life Operations - Junior Underwriter

The position is responsible to undertake a range of functions to ensure the smooth running of the Life Insurance Department. Functions may include the processing of applications for insurance policies, , handling of clients’ queries, updating and maintaining databases and other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the overall function.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Processing insurance transactions whilst providing excellent customer service to all stakeholders
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports and statements
  • Reviewing all documentation, identifying missing documents and inputting applications
  • Processing new business, assessing applications and issuing policies
  • Handling clients’ and brokers’ queries
  • Updating and maintaining databases, and
  • Other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the overall function, which may be assigned from time to time.

  • Good communication skills

  • Work experience in a health / customer care-related position
  • Strong team player
  • Highly organised
  • Proficient in IT
  • ‘O’ level in Biology
